Jamie Lynn Spears Breaks Down In Tears Over Her Past On I’m A Celeb
She opened up to First Dates' Fred...
It’s only been two days since Jamie Lynn Spears landed down under for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, but already it seems as though the star is struggling.
The Zoey 101 actress hasn’t been having the smoothest of transitions from real life to jungle living, with producers allegedly concerned she may even drop out early.
Yesterday, things came to a head for Jamie Lynn, when Fred Sirieix of First Dates asked about her upbringing.

Fred was asking Jamie Lynn about how she and Britney became so successful, but she thought he was asking how the two fell out.
Fred started, “Your sister is obviously a superstar, you’re a superstar, why? How come the both of you-what made it…?”
Jamie jumped in, “I think every family fights and has their stuff. I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.”
When Fred clarified he was more inquiring about how Jamie had become a star at such a young age, the American actress reflected deeply on her past.

She explained how she had grown up dancing and singing, and how her parents truly believed she and Britney were the best at everything.
Then, she got emotional as she explained how becoming pregnant changed the trajectory of her life.
“I had 20 paparazzi on me every day. They wouldn’t leave me alone,” she explained.
“They came and lived in Mississippi, middle of nowhere. It was horrible. I hated it so much.

“I just wanted to be normal. I wanted my baby to be normal. Everybody told me I was going to be a horrible mom. So I was like ‘I’ve got to raise this baby by myself’, and I did.”
Jamie Lynn broke down in tears as she spoke, and Fred told her they didn’t have to talk about it.
Still, Jamie Lynn said it was okay, and continued to share about the hardship she experienced.
She told Fred that “a lot of people” didn’t want her to have her baby, to the point where she felt she would need to emancipate herself from her parents to go through with the pregnancy.

With Fred joking that she was really showing full “teenage” behaviour, the two laughed over Jamie Lynn showing up to her parents house with lawyers.
“My poor mum, we put her through it,” confessed Jamie Lynn.
“She didn’t want me to do that, she knew that would mean I’d probably marry the father and lose my fortune that I’d amassed over the years of working since I was very young.
“She said ‘Just go baby…’. It was the first time in my world I had no one else, I was in control.”

Later in the episode, campmates noticed that Jamie Lynn was spending time in bed, and crying over missing her children.
To cheer her up they put her in the tub, filled it with hot water, and serenaded her – no, really!
Speaking of the compassion the group showed her, Jamie Lynn told cameras in a confessional, “It was so funny, it was wonderful. I don’t think my husband’s ever done anything like that for me! It was so nice.”
