She’s been in American Horror Story, she’s been in Ocean’s 8, she’s been in about 10 reality shows, and now she’s going to be starring in a romcom that’s just been acquired by Netflix.
Kim Kardashian is adding yet another string to her bow in the form of a new female driven comedy called The Fifth Wheel, alongside co-writers Paula Pell and Janine Brito.
Kim will be starring in, as well as producing, the film, which was acquired by Netflix following a tense bidding war.
According to Deadline, sources have said that “Kardashian has been very hands on in the process to sell the female-driven comedy, appearing at each meeting to deliver the pitch. The studios are lining up to get in business with Kardashian.”

Little is known about the actual plot of the film, other than it’s about a woman (most likely Kim), being the fifth wheel in some sort of relationship scenario – fun!
Deadline also reported that as Kim is a producer, it’s likely that she’ll be fairly involved with most aspects of the film.
“With Kardashian also being a producer sources say there is a real marketing aspect to the deal where she will be very hands on with that element,” they said.
“That would also include her branding and ad agency playing a part alongside Netflix. Whether it be her fashion line, SKIMS, or her other projects, Kardashian has shown her ability to get the most out of any product she is involved and that is the hope with this project as well.”
Regardless, we’ll be watching.
