Yep, it’s officially general election day, so if you’re eligible to vote – and have registered – make sure you get down to your local polling station today.

Ballots are open from 7am – 10pm so make yourself a bit of time and use your voice. Why not make it an event and grab the gals, get a coffee, and go tick those boxes?

You’ve no excuse, really.

Head of Digital Jade is loving… Comfy merch

My Therapist Ghosted Me is a solid pod. It’s funny, it’s fun, it’s the perfect show to stick on when you’re in need of a good laugh.

It’s also got some of the most bangin’ merch going. MTGM have their own branded sweatpants and hoodies, and let me tell you, they are the comfiest things I’ve worn all year (I’m rocking the I’m Freezing Everything sweater, obviously).

They’ve also got a litre water bottle with MTGM prompts to encourage you to hit your water goal… with time for an afternoon paw, naturally.

Editorial intern Olivia is loving… Lush-cious bath bombs

There is no better feeling than soaking in the bath, especially during this recent cold snap.

What makes it even better is when you have a luxurious bath bomb to add to the mix. Lucky for us Lush has an amazing selection of bath bombs.

From their iconic originals to their limited-edition Christmas collection, it is nearly impossible to not find one you will love.

My personal fave has to be the gingerbread man catch me if you can bath bomb, it smells and looks simply divine.

I wouldn’t be the biggest musical fan, honestly, but I caught Wicked in the Bord Gais a few months back, and it was spectacular.

And while I’m not running down to the cinema to see the film, I will absolutely take myself to Six by Nico to enjoy their Land of Oz themed menu.

There’s a yellow brick road fritter, the Tin Man’s heart cheese, and a crazy good Emerald City dessert.

The Land of Oz menu is running until December 15th in their Dublin restaurant so why not treat yourself to a bit of musical magic?

Yes, the baking sensation that had everyone in a chokehold during lockdown was the remedy to my sweet tooth this week.

After seeing a TikTok of someone baking the delicious treat, it totally influenced me to make this lockdown favourite once again. Let’s just say that I may be a little bit obsessed!

Of course, Mary Berry’s chocolate chip recipe is always my go to.

Advent calendars are fun. You open a box, you get a chocolate, you count down the days til Christmas. Fun.

But they’re even more fun when the advent calendar is personalised and each box opens to reveal a photo of you or a loved one – neat.

CEWE sent Team STELLAR one this year, and it’s only adorable. Yes, we may have opened a few windows already, and yes, the chocolate is delicious. Sue us.

Olivia is loving… Galway Bay bagels

When I say these may be the best bagels ever, I’m seriously telling the truth. I was first acquainted with this delicious bagel when they were at the market at my university in Limerick once a week.

It became a tradition for myself and my friends to hurry to the stall each Tuesday to beat the very long queue of students that would undoubtedly form come lunchtime.

Since I am currently on placement off campus my opportunity to grab one of these bagels is rare so this week (after my friend sent me a picture of her devouring our favourite lunchtime treat) I enviously tried to re-create their Pesto Bagel Melt. It may not have been the same, but it will suffice until I get my hands on the real deal once again.

If you didn’t go look at some lights in the cold, is it even winter?

If you’re out and about in the south Dublin area this festive season, do yourself a favour and make sure you get down to the Wonderlights in Marlay Park (or Malahide, or Fota Island, whichever you like).

Take a gorgeous stroll around the park, watch some impressive projections, and even have a go on the big wheel after. Fun!

Wonderlights runs in all three locations until January 4.

… Sustainable skincare

This week, skincare brand Human+Kind threw a serious bash to announce their new ambassadors, Laura Fox, Rosanna Davison and Mandy Maher.

The event took place in Cafe en Seine and saw a few famous faces step out to celebrate sustainable skincare, and have a few proseccos too.

Human+Kind’s products are vegan and cruelty-free, natural skincare solutions, and if you haven’t tried their Body Soufflé yet, you’re missing out.
