Unpacking All These Matcha & Mint Colour Correcting Products
Redness, be gone
I’m a red gal. My face is red. Sometimes it can be very red. Other times it’s less red. Such is my experience.
As it turns out, it’s the same for a lot of people.
Whether it’s because of rosacea, eczema, or a whole load of other skin issues, being prone to redness can be annoying.
In my case, I find myself piling on foundation and concealers to ensure the red is covered, when really I’d love to go for a more minimal makeup look.
I love wearing blush, but find that oftentimes I’m layering red product over my red face that I’ve purposefully tried to hide. A confusing time to say the least.
But these days I’m delighted because red neutralising products are suddenly all the rage, usually coming in a green formula to combat that extra colour without needing to layer yourself in product.
Inspired by ‘matcha’ and mint’, these colour correcting powders and creams are popping up across skincare and makeup brands alike, giving us an option to tone down the red without wearing a full face.
Here are some major colour correcting products on the market at the moment.
