Bridgerton is one of our favourite shows on television.

And it’s not just because we get to cheer on our Galway Girl Nicola Coughlan.

A fourth season is currently in the works, but Netflix had remained tight-lipped about continuing the stories of the Bridgerton siblings.

The show is focused on the Bridgerton book series which includes eight books – one for each child.

Fans were left wondering if we would be treated to all eight books and now we have an answer…kind of.

Netflix has renewed the show for a season five and six, ahead of the show’s fourth season which will premiere next year.

Sharing the good news in true Bridgerton style with a Lady Whistledown newsletter, they wrote: “Dearest Gentle Reader, Rarely is this author granted the opportunity to share with you such information.

“It is with great pleasure I can announce Bridgerton shall return for Seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly.

“And in the meantime, do prepare yourselves, for Bridgerton Season 4 shall debut in 2026. It would seem this author is going to be quite busy. Yours Truly, Lady Whistledown”

Yes, season four is just around the corner.

The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down, until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.
