Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Split? Here’s What We Know

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called it quits after nine years together, according to reports.

Apparently, things have been fraught between the pair for a while and they’ve finally decided to end things officially.

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

The source went on to say that the split had been “a long time coming” as things between them “have been tense for months.”

The pair were first linked back in 2016 before making their relationship official and eventually getting engaged in 2019. 

Perry announced that she was pregnant the following year, and she welcomed the couple’s first child, a girl named Daisy Dove, in August.

The pair remained engaged for six years – something that Orlando reportedly wasn’t happy with. A source said: “they never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything and Orlando is over it.”

Katy has also been “keeping busy” while on tour, and is also renting out her home in California.

“But her and Orlando have always lived in their other Montecito home as their primary residence,” the source continued.

The couple had also been “planning on making the Westcott home their family home but plans have changed” and “have been living apart since Katy has been on tour.”

A tour, which actively has not been going as planned following the release of her poorly reviewed album, 431.

Katy received serious criticism for her decision to work with Dr Luke on the album, a producer who was accused of sexual assault and emotional abuse by fellow artist Kesha.

At the time she responded by sharing a holiday photo of herself on a beach with the caption: ‘Planet Unbothered.’

She has yet to respond to the reports on her relationship.
