Head of Digital Jade is loving… Creating my own cocktails

I know it’s technically spring and all that, but I can’t help feeling colder than I ever did in the depths of December. And because of that bitterly cold weather out there, my skin has been going through it.

But this week I think I found a solution to my problem, and that solution is the Sol de Janeiro Body Badalada Vitamin infused lotion. I’ve been wearing my WHOOP for about nine months now, and honestly, I’ve been loving it – especially over the past few months when I’ve been gyming it up.

New health data from WHOOP suggests Irish adults have stronger cardiovascular heart health indicators than the UK… and listen, we deserve that title.

According to the data, Irish resting heart rates average 56.6 beats per minute, around 2% lower than the UK average of 57.7 bpm.

Adults in Ireland also averaged approximately 12,735 steps daily, compared with around 12,024 steps in the UK, representing roughly 711 additional steps per day, or almost 6% more movement.

If I don’t physically write out my daily plan, hour by hour or my intentions and jobs for the week, I can guarantee you that anything I left out of that written plan will not be getting done. And after trails with google calendar and journal apps, I found that nothing beats a handwritten organisation plan, and one that I have come to love this week is my Head Plan Journal.

What I love about this journal is the layout. At the start of each week, I can set out my intentions and goals and make note of any major task that I need to do throughout the week. As we head into the week, there is a daily notes sections, which allows you to jot down your to-do list, make note of any important information or appointments, and even has a habit tracker to ensure you are keeping up to date with your intentions for the week.

To me it’s an elevated dairy, and one that helps to keep me motivated and on track all at the same time – and with my mind all over the place most of the time, it’s a little safe space of organisation and calm!

Emily is loving… A good affordable tan

After a week of endless rain spells, the only thing I could think of to pick my mood up this week was fresh layer of tan. While I sometimes feel just a bit sad saying that my happiness can be brought back to life with a new bottle of tan, I can’t lie anymore, that fresh layer truly does bring a smile back to my face.

And as I was doing a search through endless tanning brands on the shelves, I came upon bBold Tan Mousse. bBold is an Irish brand I have loved ever since they brought out their instant tan body make up and I was intrigued as to how this mousse would come pair.

After trialing the tan, I have to say that I am extremely impressed. I woke up the next morning with a gorgeous olive glow that brought life back to me. The application was seamless, with a very quick drying time that I was incredibly impressed by. And to top it all off, it had a gorgeous strawberry scent meaning there was no yucky biscuit smell when I woke up.

What impressed me the most however, was the price of this tan. At only €15, this tan gave me more benefits than a tan I have paid €28 for in the past did.
