What Is Going On With Lucinda and Jessy On Love Island?

Season 3 of Love Island All Stars has definitely focused more on drama rather than romance.

Fans of the show have been vocal online, accusing producers of allowing potential bullying to be dismissed for entertainment. And there is one islander who seems to be constantly involved in the drama, Lucinda Strafford.

Lucinda entered the All Stars villa on day nine and wasted no time shaking up the relationships. She first stole Ciaran from Samie in a recoupling, which immediately sparked tensions. When that connection fizzled out Lucinda shifted her attention towards Sean Stone who was coupled up with Belle Hassan at the time.

Belle was still in Villa USA when Lucinda and Sean started to chat flirtatiously, but once she returned to main villa, the atmosphere changed. The shouting began, the drama erupted and fans witnessed the return of Hurricane Belle.

The drama continued when Belle decided to explore her connection with Scott van-der-Sluis, resulting in Lucinda accusing Belle of being a hypocrite, and that she was doing what Lucinda had done to her and receiving no backlash. With tensions all around the villa, support seemed to be mostly behind Belle.

On day 22 Jessy Potts entered as a bombshell, and fans became relived and hoped that Lucinda’s supposed friend would now support her and have her back with all the drama.

Lucinda and Jessy appeared to be very close friends in late 2024. The pair frequently travelled together, and they made lots of content sharing their time exploring California and Australia.

At the time Lucinda posted a TikTok of Jessy braiding her hair and captioning it with  “your best friend is jealous while mine is keeping me pretty.”

Jessy also posted a TikTok stating, “You’re not sad, you just need a holiday with your bestie.”

So, fans were shocked when Lucinda’s “best friend’’ pulled her on the show to chat about her behaviour, claiming she was putting on a stupid act and purposefully “rage baiting” for screen time. Jessy seemed to be offending Lucinda’s character commenting on her baby voice rather than her actions which caused Lucinda to get upset.

The islanders were then asked to choose the couple which fitted the prompt best. Lucinda and Sean were chosen quite a lot for most likely to cheat and biggest game players, with Lucinda getting heavily targeted especially by Jessy.

The accusations caused Lucinda to storm away from the game, while Belle and Samie mocked her claiming it’s a “PR stunt.” Host Maya Jama then had to follow Lucinda into the villa to comfort her.

The morning after the heated game, Lucinda finally opened up about her and Jessy’s friendship outside the Villa while chatting to Millie and Helena. Lucinda was confused as to why Jessy was coming for her claiming she may have a “weird vendetta” against her.

Lucinda shared: “I took her to Australia because she just signed with my management. And then basically, cut long story short, when I came back, I just didn’t speak to Jessy.”

Lucinda then shared the last time they had seen each other: “So the last time I saw Jessy was at the Beauty Awards, but that was 2024, I smiled and hugged her and stuff.”

The two having the same management could explain why so many trips were taken together, but the friendship did appear to be genuine at the time.
