Goodbye Statement Pieces, Hello Ring Stacking

Maximalism, let's go

If you’re an accessories girlie, you’ll know only too well the struggle of the ring.

Do you wear just one? A few across your fingers? Do you stack and mix metals? Do you keep it simple and show off the one ring you love the most?

Are there any rules and are you bothered to follow them?

Well, if you’re one for trends – and following them – you may be interested to know that ring stacking is going to be seriously huge for 2026.

Gone are the days of sporting one statement piece per day, curated to match your look and vibe. Now, we’re embracing maximalism again and showing off every single piece of jewellery we’ve got.

@ofeliayvonne_ I’m always mixing metals — gold-filled rings, chrome rings, jade rings — glitz or minimal, it’s all fair game. According to accessories brand PRYA, searches for ‘stacking rings for women’ are up 5000% this month, as more and more of us are looking for pieces to layer and mix and match.

Co-founder and style director Arwa Hassan says that customers are interested in building their ring collections, rather than focusing on one statement piece.

“People are no longer stopping at one ring. They are building collections and styling them across multiple fingers depending on their outfit or mood. It is less about a single statement piece and more about the overall composition,” she says.

So, how does one stack rings without it looking like you’ve throw on every piece of jewellery you own? There is, in fact, a bit of an art to it.

“The key is balance,” says Arwa. “Start with slim bands as a foundation, introduce something personal like an initial or birthstone, then add one bold, sculptural ring to anchor the look.

“Contrast is what makes it work, mixing delicate with chunky, pavé with plain metal, keeps the stack feeling intentional rather than overwhelming.”

Playing with proportion will create a look that’s unique, while considering the placement of each piece will make your ring stacking appear intentional.

“Balance delicate bands with one bold, sculptural piece to anchor the look,” says Arwa. “Odd numbers create a more dynamic feel, while spreading stacks across multiple fingers keeps the look balanced.”

And of course, make sure your rings fit on your fingers comfortably. There’s nothing worse than your jewellery feeling tight, or disrupting your daily life for the sake of a look.
