2026 really is Maura Higgins’ year!

She kicked off the year at the roundtable in The Traitors US, with the Longford woman becoming a massive hit on the show.

She has since walked red carpets and graced the covers of magazines Stateside. She even interviewed Zendaya on the red carpet for The Drama!

But could she be making another huge step in her career?

Well, the internet certainly thinks so, as they are convinced that she could be the next Bachelorette.

The current season of the hugely popular franchise has been pulled from airing after domestic abuse allegations came out against Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, Taylor Frankie Paul.

The reality star was due to lead the dating show, however, ABC decided to pull the series after video emerged of her in an altercation with her ex-partner.

Since her appearance on The Traitors US, social media has been aflood with fans calling for Maura to join the beloved franchise.

A Reddit thread began at the start of March with one fan saying: “Hear me out…Maura Higgins for the next Bachelorette. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this. I would so watch her season.”

“She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve seen on TV,” another said.

A third said: “I’d start watching again…”

Even celebrity gossip Instagram page, Deux-Moi, has shared rumours that this could be the case.

They claimed that ABC is “looking into getting Maura Higgins to be the next Bachelorette and do a living shooting of it”.
