What Is Going On With The Scott & Belle Love Island Drama?

Love Island All Stars may have finished genuine months ago, but that doesn’t mean the drama is complete.

In fact, it appears to have ramped up to an entirely new degree as old rifts are reignited and claims are made. On podcasts, of course.

Here’s what’s been going on.

You may remember that on the most recent season of Love Island All Stars, Scott and Belle had a bit of a thing going on, in the form of flirting a lot.

Ultimately the flirting went nowhere and Scott shut things down with Belle to focus on Leanne. The pair made it to the final and are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Good for them.

Belle, however, has a bone to pick — regarding what Scott may or may not have learned about the public’s perception of the islanders while they were in the villa.

She claimed that during a dentist visit in the midst of Villa USA, Scott received “intel” that the public really liked Belle. Belle suggested that this then influenced Scott’s decision making on the show.

On Jaime Lang’s podcast, she said: “He got hold of a phone or he asked the dentist to Google things for him. He told me, Ciaran and Helena this.

“He was googling football scores, the press. He’d come in with all the information. He’d looked up who was the favourite at the time, and he said I was the favourite girl. He was like, ‘That’s why they’re trying to run that story.’

“He was like, ‘I want to be with you. I like you. Let’s just couple up,’ and I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I didn’t say anything to anyone because at this point, me and Leanne were still really close.”

Belle also claimed that producers told her to “go for Scott. I was asking them for a bombshell. I was like,’ Can you please put a bombshell in?’ I knew they wouldn’t put a bombshell in until we’d run that storyline.

“I was called into the beach hut where we speak to producers. They were like, ‘Look, we want you to go after Scott.’ I’m like, ‘What do you mean, go after Scott? Me and Scott are friends.”

Producers have somewhat debunked the whole dentist debacle, saying that Scott watched a football match but had no access to a phone or the internet.

“The first was right at the start of week two for a temporary root canal, which is when Shaq and Jess were still in the villa,” they said, as per The Sun.

“The dentist and a member of production allowed Scott to watch football highlights on a ceiling TV while he was in the chair.

“He was not allowed access to a remote control and had absolutely no access to a phone, as a member of welfare was present the entire time.

“He was briefly told what was happening in the outside world while at the dentist, but this was not initiated by him and he had no means to Google anything or act on it.”

But Belle isn’t the only Love Island alum gunning for Scott. Whitney also seemingly tried to FaceTime Scott with his ex, Catherine, four days after he left the villa, as proven by screenshots from Scott’s good friend ‘Messy Mitch.’

Whitney and Scott no longer follow each other, and Leanne doesn’t follow Whitney anymore either. Catherine has since said she has nothing to do with the FaceTime.

“No one clocked me, cause, I still didn’t call anyone,” she said. “Didn’t add nobody, didn’t call nobody, please.”
