All Of The First Dates Ireland Couples Still Together

First Dates Ireland is celebrating its tenth birthday!

The beloved dating show has been airing on RTÉ for an entire decade, and to celebrate, we’re taking a look back at the couples who made it.

The ones who met for a dinner and a few drinks in the Gibson Hotel, and went on to get into relationships, tie the knot, and even have children.

Over the past 10 years First Dates Ireland has reached three million viewers, so it’s safe to say us Irish are fairly invested in each other’s love lives.

Here’s the couples who are still together.

Jess and Ger – Married

Despite having a connection and going on a second date, Jess and Ger first decided to stay friends. Then during the pandemic Jess moved in with Ger who lived just 20 minutes away from her parents’ home in Navan.

While living together they realised it was love and ultimately tied the knot in 2024.

Ciara and Shannon – Engaged

Ciara from Monaghan and Shannon from Dublin were the first engagement that First Dates Ireland had – back in 2019.

Carla and Shez – Married with a baby

Having met in 2020 on First Dates Ireland, Shez from Dundalk and Carla from Antrim tied the knot in 2022. The pair welcomed their daughter in 2023.

Avril and Shane – Engaged

Shane from Meath opened up about his brain injury to Avril from Dublin on the date, and she spoke about raising her daughter on her own. Both said  ‘yes’ at the end of the date and are now engaged! 

Gaye and John – Together

In their early 60s, Dubliners Gaye and John proved that love is timeless when they connected over dinner at the First Dates Restaurant. They are still seeing each other.

Ginine and Andrew – Engaged

Ginine from Kildare met Garda Andrew from Mayo in series 7 and in 2025 the pair got engaged. They have a wedding date set for next year!

Alan and Jay – Married

Jay from Donegal and Alan from Monaghan met in the First Dates Restaurant in series 7 and tied the knot in October 2025.

James and Fayth – Expecting a baby

First Dates Ireland’s latest success story comes from James and Fayth both from Dublin, who had an instant connection on their date.

The couple announced their pregnancy onThe Late Late Showon February 13th 2026 before their episode aired.
