The Rumours Are True – Lewis Capaldi Is Headlining Electric Picnic

Lewis Capaldi took to the stage in Marlay Park on Tuesday night.

Fans headed to the sunsoaked gig in their droves for the first of two sold-out shows.

Of course, those in attendance wanted to get some merch to commemorate the day.

And those who picked up the t-shirts noted that Lewis seemed to “spoil” when he would return to Ireland as his merch listed Electric Picnic on his gigs.

Now Electric Picnic has confirmed that Lewis will be one of the headliners.

They shared the news on social media this week, saying: “You heard it here first (or second ), @LewisCapaldi is your Friday night headliner for Electric Picnic 2026!

“We’re exactly 2 months away from the greatest weekend of the year! Let the planning begin.”

Zara Larsson, Fontaines DC, Sombr, Role Model, and CMAT are all going to set the stage on fire from the 28th to the 30th of August this year at Stradbally.

Fans were eager to learn who the secret headliner would be with some people suggesting Olivia Rodrigo. However, it’s Lewis!

The Scottish crooner was supposed to perform at Electric Picnic in 2023, but unfortunately had to pull out due to health reasons.

Now three years later he will take to the stage!

We can’t wait!
