5 Of The Best Pubs To Get Your Paddy’s Day Pint
Because you need to make the most of your well-earned day off.
Paddy’s Day is the one day of the year you can go to the pub and have a few pints totally guilt-free, after all it’s your patriotic obligation, right? The only drawback of everyone having some well needed drinks on the 17th is that everywhere is totally jammers. So, with that in mind we’ve chosen our five fave pubs that won’t have you squished up against the wall spilling your drink all over your green gúna.
Dice Bar
This little gem is dangerously close to STELLAR HQ in Smithfield. The quirky bar is the perfect place for a sneaky pint on the 17th; they have great value drinks deals, it’s just on the red Luas line and if it’s sunny you can hang outside and embrace the beautiful (but short-lived) Irish weather. It’s also right beside Smithfield Square which is full of yummy eateries and coffee shops.
The Market Bar
This is one of our fave spots ever! The Market Bar is located in the heart of Dublin on Fade Street and we would dine and drink there every day if we could. They have pints galore but if you want to steer clear of beers and indulge in some vino they a huge selection for you to choose from. They also have some delish tapas if you’re feeling a bit peckish after your second glass of wine.
Anseo
The atmosphere and music in Anseo is second to none, so if you’re looking for an truly Irish Paddy’s day filled with craic and ceol, look no further! Anseo is located on Camden Street (super close to Coppers…) and has been around for a long time. It stocks 14 different types of beers from around the world so you deffo won’t be stuck for choice!
Pygmalion
Ok, so we can’t promise this place won’t be jammers but the location makes the queues totally worth it! Pygmalion is located on the buzzing Coppinger Row and if you’re able to nab yourself a seat outside you’re sorted for the day. They have some great cocktail deals and delish tapas as well for the munchies.
Against The Grain
If beer’s your thing you have to go here! Against The Grain stock totally delish craft beers, so you can spend the day trying them all. They also have classic pub grub, so when you find a seat you can park yourself there for the day without having to run to the shop for supplies. Hoorah!
