Adele had us all in the palm of her hand last year with the release of Hello and her long-awaited album, 25, but now it’s Beyoncé’s turn.

Except if you ask Adele, it never actually stopped being Beyoncé’s turn. The singer has made no secret in the past of her deep adoration for Bey’s music, and even though 25 sold a whopping eight million copies in the US alone in just four months, Adele is as happy as the rest of us to bow down to Lemonade.

Taking to Instagram last night, Adele apologised for taking so long to post a response to Beyoncé’s May 24th album release.

I’m not late on this I’ve just been speechless. Beyonce is the most inspiring person I’ve ever had the pleasure of worshipping,” she wrote alongside a picture of her hugging a Beyoncé poster.

“Her talent, beauty, grace and work ethic are all in a league of their own. I appreciate you so much! Thank god for Beyoncé X.”

So if you were thinking you were the only one who watched Lemonade three times in a row, you definitely weren’t. Adele was at it too.

Despite rumours suggesting otherwise, Adele has continuously professed her love for Bey over the years – even speaking out against claims she had turned down the chance to collaborate with the legendary diva.

“There’s a rumour going round that I turned Beyoncé down. Which I would never be so disrespectful as to do,” she told BBC’s Zane Lowe last year.

“I’d never disrespect her like that. Obviously, like, Queen B ’til the day I die.”

Back in 2011, Adele admitted she had a “full blow anxiety attack” before meeting Beyoncé for the first time, saying she told her that her music was like “listening to God.”

It’s like she’s reading our minds…
