Adele Is Finished Touring ‘For A Decade’ But She’s Just Announced TWO Final Gigs
They'll be her official finale.
If you were in attendance for one of Adele’s Dublin gigs in March 2016, count yourself lucky, because it might be the last time you see her on stage for another decade. Unless you’re willing to fly to London, of course.
After wrapping her Adele Live World Tour last week with her 107th gig in ten months, Adele took to social media this morning to confirm two very special additional concerts in summer 2017. The gigs, titled ‘The Finale,’ will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 29th and July 1st.
Adele’s 2016 tour opened with a series of Irish and UK gigs including two night’s at Dublin’s 3Arena and a five-night run at London’s O2 Arena, but it seems the singer was saving the most special venue in her hometown for last. In a video posted to Twitter and Instagram earlier today, the singer runs through a theatre with a football and a Tottenham Spurs scarf around her neck, telling the camera she is “coming for two nights at Wembley Stadium.”
The news comes after the singer confirmed another add-on to her world tour last week: a string of dates across Australia and New Zealand.
Once next summer rolls around though, it seems the mum-of-one really will be finished up with touring, as she wants to focus more on life her with partner Simon Konecki and their son, Angelo, aged four.
“Angelo is the number one priority for Adele. He is the most important thing in her life,” a source told The Sun recently. “She has brought him everywhere with her on tour but as he is starting school next year, he won’t be able to join her any more.”
Despite rumours that the singer plans to expand her brood, she admitted she was still “too scared” to think about having another child in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.
