Going Solo? Little Mix’s Epic New Video Is Here, But People Reckon It Reveals A Rift In The Band
A body language expert and fans have noticed something interesting.
Little Mix’s new video has landed and it’s pretty damn epic.
The Coyote Ugly-themed vid for No More Sad Songs is set in a bar and sees the girls don cowboy-inspired outfits.
So far it’s proven to be an instant hit with fans on Twitter, but there have been a select few who reckon they’ve noticed something off that could spell disaster for the band’s future.
Among them is body language expert Judi James who notes that the video is primarily focused on “solo-diva” performances, not the band as a whole.
“This video presents a complete change of style and dynamic for the group,” she explained to The Mirror. “Each girl is picked out for a solo shot to camera and as they sing they perform self-touching rituals that are both sexy and solo-diva-focused.
“This seems to present the group as four individual stars in their own right rather than the kind of giggly gang of mates we used to see. It’s as though they’re growing up and growing into their own roles with their own profiles at last.”
She added: “There are some smiley shots but none of the usual hugging and group collaborations here.”
Seeming to back up James’ theory, Jesy Nelson took to Instagram today to share the video, but only included herself in the shot.
The band’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock did the same.
So what does all of this mean? Is there a rift between the girls or are they just developing more as individuals as they reach their middle twenties? We’re hoping it’s latter.
