We Finally Know When The Downton Abbey Movie Is Going To Be Released!
TOO EXCITED!
Everyone’s favourite period drama Downton Abbey has officially given the green light for a feature length movie version of the show, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
The news was confirmed earlier this year, with producers revealing that filming has already begun, and fan favourites such as Maggie Smith as Dowager Countess, Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary Crawley and Hugh Bonneville as Robert Crawley have all signed up to take part.
And now, we actually have an official release date!

The movie will be hitting the big screen in September 2019, which seems like a lifetime away – but we think we’ll have some teasers to whet our appetites along the way!
“Since the series ended, fans of Downton have long been waiting for the Crawley family’s next chapter.”
“We’re thrilled to join this incredible group of filmmakers, actors and craftspeople, led by Julian Fellowes and Gareth Neame, in bringing back the world of Downton to the big screen next September.”
Is it 2019 yet?
