19-Year-Old Former Miss Teen Universe Has Died Suddenly After Suffering Heart Attack

Shocking news has emerged of the death of former Miss Teen Universe,  Lotte van der Zee, at the age of just 19.

The Dutch model, who was crowned Miss Teen Universe back in 2017 tragically passed away just weeks before her 20th birthday, after she suffered cardiac arrest following a ski holiday.

The terrible news of Lotte’s untimely death comes two weeks after she suffered a heart attack while holiday in Austria, and was transferred to a hospital in Munich while in a coma.

The beauty’s family shared the tragic news on social media that she had passed away earlier this week, leaving fans and followers in shock.

“It is incredibly surreal that our dearly beloved Lotte is not around us anymore.” the family shared.

“Our hearts are truly broken. We would like to thank you all again for all the support and heartwarming messages.”

Tributes have poured in from around the world since Lotte’s death – with Miss Teen Universe pageant organisers saying:

“Losing someone we loved is not easy, but knowing that we have been able to be part of her life, it has been an amazing journey, we now realize that we were blessed to share your life and career with us.”
