Hayley Williams Says She’ll Be Releasing Solo Music Next year

In a rather nice turn of events, Paramore singer and orange-haired advocate Hayley Williams, who turned 30 yesterday, announced that she will be releasing solo material in 2020.

Posting a screengrab of her notes app to Twitter, she writes:

“Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes. 30 was a very important year. 31 will be too. I’m putting out some music next year. With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own. It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January.”

Riding in on the commercial pop-punk waves that Avril Lavigne, Pink and Kelly Clarkson created, Paramore are  responsible for many angsty songs from our teen years, with their music progressively becoming more joyous.

Here’s hoping that  2020 brings a mini pop-punk revival with it for the power choruses alone.
