The family of Love Island’s Mike Boateng have warned about ‘false stories’ published about the former police officer.
Over the weekend, The Sun reported that Mike was had left Greater Manchester Police not because he was going on Love Island, but because he was being investigated over “improper conduct”.
In a statement, Mike’s family rubbished the stories, saying they are “disheartened” by what they see as the GMP’s failure to defend him. “Mike showed nothing but dedication to GMP,” it reads. “He joined believing the force represented honesty and integrity.”
The statement also recounts a racist incident in which Mike was called a “gorilla” by fellow officers during a training session.

“Mike was not forced or pushed out of the police. He resigned after he chose to go on Love Island,” the statement continues. “If any of the stories were true, Mike would have been sacked as a result of them, which he wasn’t.”
“It is a shame that the media in the UK constantly chooses to portray Black men in a negative light, thus perpetuating stereotypes which are not representative of most Black males across the country. It is also a shame that an institution established to bring law and order to our country continues to show clear discrimination against young men from a certain demographic.”
This season, most of the drama has taken place outside the villa – Ollie Williams left the show last week after photos emerged of him posing with dead animals. Grim.
Pink says she’s not getting Botox so that her kids will know how she’s feeling (including when she’s angry).
In a short thread on Twitter, the singer opened up about ageing and how every so often, she considers going under the needle.

“Every once in a while you consider altering your face, and then you watch a show where you want to see what the person is feeling… and their face doesn’t move. I cannot get behind it. I just can’t,” she continued. “I want my children to know what I look like when I’m angry.”

She ended with a declaration that she was ageing “THE OL FASHIONED WAY”, but still “in a tutu ruling shit at 30mph 100ft in the air over 40” because that’s who she is. Damn right.
Chrissy Teigen has revealed that she eats ‘night eggs’ before she goes to sleep. Yes, she explained.
We already knew that she gets John to make her a sandwich before bed, but apparently eggs are also part of the equation:
each night before bed, as I eat my night eggs, if I’m not not on the Twitter, I catch up on my favorite subreddits: choosingbeggars, amitheasshole (AITA) and thathappened. I enjoy these very much and learn a lot about…humans

(BTW, her choice of subreddits is impeccable.)
Responding to one fan’s query about the phenomenon of ‘night eggs’, Chrissy said that she can’t sleep if she’s not “overly full”, so she takes two boiled eggs to bed and eats them whenever she wakes up.
I can’t sleep without being overly full. I take two hard boiled eggs to bed every night and eat them when I randomly wake up. It used to be beef jerky but I’d wake up too puffy https://t.co/2oooE8cY7p

Our stomachs are troubled just thinking about this. But whatever works for you, Chrissy.
And now it’s time for… #WilloughbyWatch
Charting the public’s obsession with what Holly Willoughby is wearing.
Another episode of Dancing On Ice, another fairytale ballgown from Holly. This is by bridal designer Dana Harel and no, you probably can’t afford it. Unless you have a wedding coming up and your mam won’t cry if you wear something sheer-ish with outlined boob holders?
“You look gorgeous but aren’t you going to freeze?” writes one worried commenter. This is FASHION, Tina. We don’t worry about these kinds of things.
Today’s dress is from All Saints and on sale for half price (it’s still €189, though) – the matching boots really make the look, don’t you think? It seems to be going down well with her followers anyway, who think she looks “classy” and “chic”. Holly must be relieved.
