The BRIT Awards took the internet by storm last night, and more importantly, we got a whole new truckload of Lizzo and Harry Styles content. Who knew they’d be the duo we just can’t get enough of? As well as Harry and good aul’ Liz giving us all the entertainment we needed, there were plenty more great moments of the night.

Lewis Capaldi, the man responsible for many, many lols, took home two BRIT Awards last night. For best new artist and best song for Someone You Loved. Two awards can only mean one thing, two speeches.

Lewis kept one short and sweet, literally taking a drink and saying thank you very much. Polite as ever. And the other? Well, the other of course included a little Love Island reference towards his ex girlfriend, and an additional thank you to his, eh, dead grandmother who inspired Someone You Loved. Never change Lewis.

Lizzo’s go to red carpet pose wasn’t the usual hand on hip stance, oh no. Arriving on the red carpet in a full getup inspired by chocolate (we feel that)  her pose of choice was biting into her chocolate bar purse. Really, only Queen Lizzo could pull it off and she looked AH-MAZ-ING.

As well as wearing a chocolate inspired outfit, Lizzo showed on live TV that she’s a tequila fan. Harry Styles turned down a glass of tequila, so naturally, Lizzo took over the situation. The guests around her table couldn’t help but be amazed when she downed a wine glass full of tequila. The best part? Well, Harry Styles and Jack Whitehall’s reaction of course. We weren’t the only ones who could not cope, obviously.

In another fashion moment, Harry Styles won our hearts over yet again. Donning cute pearls, an oversized collar and a jumper for the red carpet. Of course, he then made a little outfit change into something a little more, eye-catching, shall we say? A full yellow suit with a little purple tulle. Now, I’m off to buy a full yellow rig-out.

Billie Eilish performed No Time To Die, the new Bond theme for the first time. Billie was names Best International Female Artist on the night, but it was this performance that got people talking. Can she do any wrong?

Yet another Harry Styles mention, because it seemed the BRITs were the Harry and Lizzo Show. But we couldn’t help but laugh when Jack Whitehall put his foot in it when asking about Harry’s date, which was actually his sister. Jack then replied that it’s ‘good to keep it in the family’. Gas.

The pure excitement of Niall Horan when Lewis Capaldi won Best New Artist. That’s it, that’s the moment. We just LOVE the friendship between these two, keep those moments coming.

Stormzy collected the Best Solo Male award, but not without shouting out to the women on his team. “The best male is nothing without these incredible females.” You love to see it.

Finally, Jack Whitehall presented the awards on the night, and while he did keep the audience laughing, he paid a touching tribute to Caroline Flack. “Before our next performance, over the weekend we learned some awful news that one of the Brits’ family and our friend Caroline Flack tragically passed away. ‘She was a kind and vibrant person with an infectious sense of fun and will be sorely missed. I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say our thoughts are with her friends and family.”
