A massive congratulations to Riyadh Khalaf who took home the winning title on Celebrity MasterChef last night.

Beating off stiff competition from Olympians Matthew Pinsent and Sam Quek, the finalists had to cook a three-course meal dedicated to their family as their final task.

Dedicating the menu to his hero, his Iraqi father who initially struggled when Riyadh first came out as gay, the YouTuber and LGBTQ+ activist created an incredible menu which included traditional Iraqi lamb kofta kebabs served with hummus, baby roast aubergines, tzatziki, flatbreads and a fattoush salad.

Explaining that his father is his hero for how he overcame his beliefs to campaign with his son for marriage equality in Ireland, attending Pride parades and changing the way he sees things, the pair now have a relationship that’s closer than ever.
