The best thing about Emily in Paris was NOT the outfits...

We thought the best thing about Emily in Paris would be the outfits. Oh, how wrong we were.
The show, which has been getting deliciously mixed reviews online (this only made us binge watch it faster) features Lucas as the handsome neighbour of Emily while she’s living in the city of love.
His character, Gabriel, is a chef in a local bistro and throughout the show he’s always on hand to help Emily with all the problems life throws at her, from letting her shower at his apartment to emergency client dinners.
Dream neighbour.

He’s been acting since 2013, but so far mostly in French productions.
Emily in Paris is his big break on Netflix and we’re guessing we’ll be seeing a lot more of him now.

He knows how to cook in real life. We should have seen the red flags with Emily when she tried to send back her steak in an early episode, as she wanted it cooked through. Turns out, Lucas’ character, Gabriel, was the chef and insisted she actually tried it medium-rare.
We love a man that can cook, and it seems he can cook a mean omelette IRL too as he used to be a sous chef.

Lucas is 32 years old, and was born in Nice, France. That delicious accent is all real.
He has spent some time living in America which made him the perfect choice for the show as he can speak both English and French fluently.

He doesn’t post much about his private life on social media, except for the fact that he loves Burning Man.
It seems the French star goes to the festival almost every year with his friends.

Not only is Lucas an actor, he’s also a model signed to Viva Model Management in Paris. Recognise him from any high profile ad campaigns?
Top marks if you remember him as the handsome driver from Chanel’s 2017 ad.
We think we could all use a neighbour more like Gabriel…
