Roz Purcell Shares How January Is A Tough Month Of ‘Pushy Food Guilt’

Roz Purcell has always been open in the best way possible about mental health and body image. In the past, Roz has shared how she struggled with an eating disorder and often promotes body positivity online to her many, many followers.
Now, Roz has taken to Instagram to share how January can be a tough month for many when it comes to struggling with food and body image.
She revealed to her followers how she copes with the “pushy” diet culture that tends to go hand in hand with the new year.
Starting the post with a trigger warning, Roz wrote, “Jan can be a tough month with the pushy food guilt/ diet narrative. A big help for me in managing my food guilt was created a better space for myself online, a newsfeed that didn’t make me feel shitter or ignite those thoughts.

“Few of my favourite finds in 2020/21 to add to your newsfeed for a dose of common sense and reminders when you need them most- scrolling.”
She continued, “Please add anymore pages you recommend below👇🏻the ones that make you feel better when you leave them not worse”.
Fans and followers of Roz flocked to the comments to thank Roz for her honestly and advice, with one saying “Simply said, Thank you. For being a voice. For being what our future needs.” While another said “Always keeping it real!! You are the queen.”
Since then, Roz also shared how she’s is getting on with her hair journey, as she has a bald patch at the back of her head. Sharing the progress shots of over eight months in between, Roz wrote, “Bald patch is in full bloom, white but growing. In my head my hair wasn’t growing but side by side it’s come on so much.”
