Louise Cooney has revealed she was approached to appear on Love Island two years in a row – but decided to decline.

The influencer admits while she enjoys watching the hit reality show, has no intentions of joining a whole host of fellow singletons in the villa.

When asked if she’d ever go on Love Island, Louise told her Instagram followers, “No I wouldn’t. I was asked to do an interview last year, and this year…wouldn’t be for me but I love to watch it.”

Irish stars have had huge success on the show over the last number of years, including Yewande Biala, Greg O’Shea and Maura Higgins.

After leaving, their careers also excelled, as Yewande brought out a clothing range, Greg landed a radio show on RTE 2FM and Maura has featured on some of the UK’s biggest reality shows including Dancing on Ice and just this week, released her own tan range with Bellamianta.

Love Island is set to return to our screens this summer – but where it’s set, could be a little different.

The show usually takes place in Mallorca, but with lockdown restrictions still in place, the venue – and general location – could be changed.

Speaking to Metro, narrator Iain Stirling said, “Hey, let’s see what happens. Like I said, I’ve no idea, but it could be quite amusing seeing Love Island contestants embracing the beaches of Bognor Regis at some point.

“When they can’t eat their dinner because seagulls are taking it off the plate… it could mix it up.”
