Millie Mackintosh and husband Hugo Taylor celebrated the first birthday of their daughter Sienna over the weekend.

Welcoming their daughter during a global pandemic and subsequently, celebrating her first birthday with the UK still in lockdown and slowly easing restrictions, the pair made sure to give their tot a party to remember at home, and totally fit for a princess.

Transforming their London home into a pink paradise, proud parents Millie and Hugo got a large balloon installation made as a backdrop for photos, covered in flowers and pink hues, while the little girl also had a matching pink flower cake custom made for the day and the most adorable tee-pee to play in, in matching colours, of course.

“Happy Birthday my darling Sienna! Part of me can’t believe you’re a year old as time has gone so quickly, whilst the other half of me can’t remember a time without you.

“The past year has been the best of my life and even in these strange times I wouldn’t have had it any other way,” mum Mille wrote online.

Adding that “being your Mummy will always be my greatest achievement,” it’s safe to say that Millie is reflecting back on a tough but incredible year welcoming her daughter into the world and learning how to navigate life by her side.

Following Sienna’s arrival, Millie openly spoke about suffering from post-natal depression, noting that it lasted longer then she expected.

“It lasted for the first couple of weeks and it happened quite a lot; most days I’d say. It was difficult because I’d think, ‘shouldn’t I feel happy right now?’ And I did feel happy, just not all the time. You’re very overtired as well,” she explained to RTÉ.

Continuing, Millie added:

“When I got out of it, I felt so relieved and now it feels like a distant memory. But at the time, I remember really worrying it might not pass, or that I wouldn’t be able to care for Sienna. I got myself into a really anxious thought cycle around it.”

Now, a year down the line, Millie and Hugo were happy to celebrate their daughter’s first year and the beautiful family they’ve created, popping some rosé and celebrating over the long weekend.
