3 Of The Best Milky Toners On The Market Right Now
Soon we will all be looking like stunning glazed donuts
If you have ever ended up on skin care and BeautyTok, I can bet my life that you have seen the rising trend of milky toners. In fact, if you have never even been graced by BeautyTok, you’ve most likely already seen the growing popularity of these toners in every pharmacy in the land.
Stemmed from Korean skincare, milky toners are the beauty staple that all experts and influencers are absolutely raving about. And listen, if what they say is true about them, I too will be hopping on the trend because who doesn’t want glowy skin that resembles our favourite sweet treat – the glazed donut?
Toners have always been a must have essential in our skincare routines, but they are slowly getting replaced by this new hybrid milky toner – one that promises to hydrate the skin while also giving all of those other good benefits.
Speaking to Vogue, Dr Sravya Tipirneni, a board-certified dermatologist, says that these new milky toners “combine the hydrating and prepping functions of traditional toners with nourishing and soften effects of a lightweight moisturiser or serums.
@aamnaadel Is it obvious why ones my favourite? 👀 Silently rating milky toners as a derm 💕✨ #dermatologist #dradel #skintok #skincare #skincareroutine #milkytoner #toner #silentreview #review #productrecommendations #foryou #fyp #glassskin #koreanskincare #kbeauty @rhode skin @byoma @Beauty of Joseon @ILIA Beauty @laneige_us @TIRTIR Inc. ♬ original sound – Dr Adel | Dermatologist
“They often include a higher concentration of moisturising ingredients such as plant-based oils, butters and sometimes even finely dispersed emulsions”.
These toners hydrate and smooth our skin rather than exfoliate and strip the skin. They can be used in both our morning and night routines, so it’s important that you choose the right product for you since it might become an essential step in your routine.
But with so much choice on the market, it’s hard to know which ones are the best, and which have the best reviews.
Never fear however, because here at STELLAR, we have rounded up some of the best milky toners on the market right now – from best overall, to most affordable, to best K-beauty product, as per reviews online.
Start your skin glazed journey with ease!
Best overall – Rhode Glazing Milk
It’s no surprise that Ms Hailey Bieber’s brand rhode takes the crown for the best milky toner. After all, it is the toner that kicked off this trend. After all, if this is what makes Hailey’s skin flawless, we want to try it too.
This toner is allowed bragging rights after it has come on top in multiple reviews. Sephora found that out of 30 participants, 97% agreed that it leaves skin feeling dewy, radiant and glowing, which is exactly what you want. 90% also agreed that its leaves skin feeling hydrated all day long.
This toner includes a lightweight formula full of hydrating and skin loving ingredients including a ceramide trio of NP, AP and EOP and beta glucon, that help to lock in moisture and help strengthen the skins barrier.
This toner also has the National Eczema Association seal of approval, and you can’t really argue with that!
Most affordable – Byoma Milky Toner
With many affordable milky toners on the market, this one definitely comes out on top. Beauty creator The Summer Study even said that this product “regained my faith in toners.” But why?
Acting as a cheaper dupe to the rhode Glazing Milk, this toner is packed full of good ingredients, which arguably is an essential considering some products might look like they give us instant results but don’t end up doing a whole lot.
This toner contains glycerain that helps pull all the good moisture back into our skin, while Centella Asiatica helps to protect and repair our skin. This one even has gluconolactone that gently exfoliates the skin.
The Summer Study says, “[this] works well with other skincare… it doesn’t ever sting or irritate my skin even when my moisture barrier is feeling very compromised”.
This Byoma product even has 4.4/5-star reviews on the Boots official website, which to me says a lot about the strength of this product – especially for the price point.

Best K-beauty – Anua Rice 70 Glow Milky Toner
Since this trend all stemmed from Korean skincare, we had to include a Korean brand in our breakdown. There are so many good Korean milky toners on the market right now, but after some deep diving, this one seems to be the best overall and suitable for most skin types.
This toner includes 70% rice barn water and niacinminde which can help to fade dark spots, reduce dullness and provide a stunning overall radiation to the skin.
The consistency of this product also helps to leave the skin feeling hydrated while also having a quick dryer time, meaning that you aren’t left with a heavy film that some of these toners can leave.
