3 Simple Changes To Make To Your Beauty Routine Coming Into The Warmer Weather

STELLAR PROMOTION: Want great skin, nails, and hair? Us too

It’s been pretty cold the past while – and if the harsh weather hasn’t been wreaking havoc on your skin, hair, and nails, you’re one of the lucky ones.

The chillier months can sometimes make it that bit more difficult to feel energised, fresh, and entirely like yourself… especially if your skin is dry, your hair feels flat, and your nails have become super brittle.

Luckily, there are certain changes you can make to your beauty routine that can ensure you’re tackling the cold head on, and looking after your skin, hair, and nails as well as you can.

1. Change up your skincare routine

Although you may have perfected your skincare routine during the summer, it turns out that switching it up entirely may be necessary for the colder months.

When it’s cold there’s less moisture in the air – couple that with the heating constantly being on (although maybe not as much in the cost of living crisis), and general bad weather – and chances are the same skincare routine that you suited you for summer won’t be doing as good a job in winter.

Using a richer moisturiser, exfoliating twice a week, and incorporating a cleanser that’s gentle on the skin are great ways to adapt your skincare routine for the colder months, and ensure that your skin is as healthy as possible in the harsher weather.

Hydration is key, so going for a facial may be even more beneficial for some skin types during this time of year. Failing that, you could always grab yourself a hydrating face mask in the pharmacy to give your skin that bit of extra love.

2. Include Perfectil’s range in your beauty routine

If you’re hoping to encourage normal, healthy growth for your skin, hair, and nails, Perfectil have got the perfect range for you.

Perfectil Original works from within to deliver nourishment through the bloodstream. Each tablet contains riboflavin (vitamin B2), Niacin (vitamin B3) and biotin which contribute to the maintenance of normal skin, as well as minerals selenium and zinc which contribute to the maintenance of normal hair and nails.

If you’re hoping to focus on one specific area, Perfectil Skin contains Nutri-dermal capsules with extra biotin which contribute to the maintenance of normal skin. Each tablet includes riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3) and minerals, zinc and iodine.

Perfectil Hair, on the other hand, encourages the growth of normal hair with biotin, selenium and zinc, as well as copper and amino acids, while Perfectil Nails provides specific vitamins and minerals to support the nail beds, including selenium and copper.

3. Drink lots of water

Far more than you think you should be drinking, actually. Even though the weather is freezing and the sun is largely nowhere to be seen, our water intake shouldn’t be decreasing in the colder months.

Rather, it should be increasing, especially if we want to keep our skin in tip-top shape. During the colder months the air lacks moisture, which means dry skin and chapped lips are far more likely to occur.

Drinking at least 2.5 litres of water per day (and closer to 3.5 litres per day for men), is recommended to ensure the body is hydrated, and to provide energy that’s otherwise been lost. If the outer layer of the skin doesn’t receive enough water throughout the year, it can lose elasticity and start to feel dry.

Drinking more water also also encourages hair growth from root to tip, and can even prevent split ends and brittle, dry patches. Similar can be said for nail health, as nails that break and chip easily can be a sign of dehydration.

So, there you go – three simple changes you can make to your beauty routine this year that will make all the difference.
