7 Irish Activewear Brands To Put On Your Radar In 2022

Looking to update your workoutrobe?

Working. Schooling. Gyming. Entertaining. Eating. Drinking. Shopping. You name it, we’re pros at doing it all in gym gear at this stage.

For me, I normally hate exercising. But lately, I’ve been on an ever so slight workout buzz and one thing that’s motivating me that little bit more is new workout clothes.

If you’re in the same boat, here are six Irish brands that have an amazing range of gorgeous workout wear. Ideal for both lounging around and actual exercising – what more could we want?

EAGAN Active

EAGAN is an activewear brand that was launched in 2020 by Galway mum of 2, Gillian. It all began with the quest for the perfect pair of leggings, good quality but affordable; those you could wear to the gym, out for a walk, on the school run and do the food shop in. Gillian set about designing and creating her own, and so EAGAN was born.

With the leggings, the fabric used flatters and sculpts the body, but isn’t see-through and is fully supportive. I’ve been wearing these leggings for a few months now, and can happily confirm they are *chef’s kiss*

Powercut

Powercut launched in November of 2019, and its aim is to create and provide high-quality athleisure wear for women. But one thing that’s caught my eye? Their latest range is all about practicality, with pockets at the forefront of their collection. Let’s call it, there are few things that are more irritating than the lack of pockets in women’s clothes. We’re not asking for a whole lot here.

After months of research and product development, Powercut created the highly sought after leggings, shorts, and a sports bra: each with practical internal, external and panel pockets. So whether you’re going for a jog or need somewhere to put your bank card if you’re popping out to the shops, they’ve got you covered. Check out the full collection here.
