Our fathers have really excelled this year in forecasting the fashion stakes. In what feels like an edit inspired by their wardrobe (which hasn’t changed for the past couple of decades, mind you), we’ve seen dad sandals make a comeback, argyle print jumpers now deemed as cool, and most recently, sweater vests getting a lot of attention.

But do we kinda love it? Yep, surprisingly we do.

Perhaps it’s because we’re seeing these looks on our favourite celebs and influencers, but dad fashion has certainly made its mark on 2020; the year where anything seems to go and so, we’re following suit and stocking up for the winter.

Yes, GOT fans and those who are sick to death of hearing the overused catchphrase “winter is coming”, the fact of the matter is that… it is and so, whether we’re ready or not, it’s time to update our wardrobes.

This A/W20 it’s all about oversized looks, boyfriend cut jeans, crisp shirts and sweater vests. Shoe wise, we’re going to see plenty socks and sandals around the place, with chunky quilted styles a la Chanel remaining favourable.

Ready to hop on the sweater trend? Here’s 7 we’re loving.

It’s also important to mention that sweater vests aren’t a new phenomenon and so, a root around your local charity shop is certainly something to think about. Although the above sweaters are gorge, there’s nothing like a unique vintage find to have you standing out from the crowd in the style stakes. A sustainable and savvy queen, that’s you.
