When it comes to a red carpet, the Irish are never afraid to make a statement – and last night was so exception.

The BAFTA TV Awards took place in London on Sunday night.

The ceremony was presented by Scottish actor Alan Cumming at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Here’s all the Irish looks on the red carpet.

The likes of Nicola Coughlan and Lola Petticrew were nominated for their work in Big Mood and Say Nothing. Unfortunately they didn’t scoop the award on the night.

Nicola looked stunning in a black and white dress with statement ruffles and sequin on the skirt.

Also in attendance was Maura Higgins who wowed the red carpet with a backless ballgown. Una Healy attended the event in a silver sequin mini dress, posing for snaps before heading inside.

Siobhán McSweeney’s short film, Spud was up for Best Short Form. This film was her directorial debut! She opted for a dramatic suit as she walked the carpet.
