Ballet Flats Are Back In – Here’s How To Style Them

Yes....... they're back.....

With the influence of ballet-core on our wardrobe it’s no surprise that ballet flats are making a comeback. Love them or hate them all our favourite ‘It Girls’ are wearing them. Matilda Djerf, Sofia Richie and Devon Lee Carlson are all hopping on the trend.

Ballet flats were one of the most popular shoe choices of the noughties with supermodel Kate Moss always looking chic and effortless with skinny jeans and Repetto ballet flats for her off-duty model looks.

As fashion is a constant cycle it was about time ballet flats had their moment again and last spring, we were already seeing the style begin to take off with many fashion houses such as Miu Miu kicking off the trend.

Could ballet flats be replacing trainers for this spring season? It looks likely. Comfort has been a key factor in fashion trends in the last few years and ballet flats allow for a comfortable, yet still put together style.

But how do we style them? Let’s take a look.

Look 1

Paired with a straight-leg jean, a white tee and a light knit, you really can’t go wrong with this look. It’s on trend and you may already have many of these pieces in your wardrobe.

Hailey Bieber is known for her minimalist and trendy style. Steal her look with these Mary Jane style ballet flats. Pairing your ballet flats with socks will allow you to wear this trend all year round!

Look 3

Add some colour to your wardrobe by going for a cherry red statement ballet flat. This will add a bit of fun to any minimalistic outfit.
