Alexandra Burke Gets Emotional As She Explains Why She’s Keeping Her Baby Private

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke has opened up about why she is keeping her baby’s gender and name out of the public.

The singer appeared on Loose Women earlier this week and was questioned about why she hasn’t shared much of her baby, while answering the question she got emotional explaining, “I’ve never really spoken about this but obviously I come from X Factor and that’s a public show and I’m very grateful for the platform, it’s made me who I am today.

“I hate getting emotional talking about this but I asked for all this, my family never…”

Continuing after getting support from the hosts she finished, “The impact on them is hard. And I want to protect the baby as much as I can.”

Although Alexandra isn’t sharing personal details of her child, she isn’t afraid to open up about how motherhood has changed her.

“Oh gosh, how life has changed. Sleep is a thing of the past. It’s changed in a brilliant way. I’ve never known love like this before. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. It’s overwhelming, you can’t put it into words. It’s the greatest gift in the world. I’m so happy,” she said.

Alexandra welcomed her first child in July with her fiancé, Irish football player Darren Rudolph.
