Are We Getting A Third Installment Of Mamma Mia?

Get your dancing shoes ready!

Who’s ready to “feel the beat from the tambourine”again?

We certainly are!

Mamma Mia 3 is reportedly coming our way.

Although it might not be for a while, producer of the initial two movies, Judy Cramer, told deadline that the script for the third movie is “in its early stages”.

And…we will possibly see Meryl Streep come back from the dead again.

Judy revealed that a plotline has been developed to bring Meryl’s beloved character back to our screens. She passed away in the years prior to the hit sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

She said: “There is a story there, and I do think Meryl should come back — and if the script is right, she would, I think, because she really loved playing Donna. I don’t want to over-egg it, but I know there’s a trilogy there.”

The original Mamma Mia was released in 2008 with a star studded cast including Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgard.

Ten years later the cast returned to film the sequel – Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again – which delved into the titular years of Meryl Streep’s character Donna, as she navigated life after college. The younger version of the character was played by Lily James.

Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Pierce Brosnan said: “It was criminal how much fun we had because everybody brought their wives, their girlfriends, their boyfriends so it all became a family. “We rehearsed for about five weeks, everyone got on extremely well together – maybe Mamma Mia 3 – we’re talking about it.”

We can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
