Cheryl Just Announced A Surprising New Project
Cheryl is returning to the stage!
Cheryl is back on the stage, but not in the way you may expect.
The former Girls Aloud singer and X-Factor Judge has announced an exciting career move as she is set to make her West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story.
Sharing the exciting news with fans on social media Cheryl wrote, “Hey!!! .. I am SO excited to be starring in the west end thriller @222aghoststory!! I will be playing the role of Jenny from January – April! I went to see the show with a previous cast and LOVED IT!”
“It is a totally new and exciting experience for me so if you’re looking for a fun night out & some entertainment in your new year tickets are available now… whenever you’re ready.”

The role of Jenny is currently being played by Laura Whitmore, who shared that she has “just over a month left” in the show. Laura shared her excitement for her replacement commenting on Cheryl’s post, “It’s the best!!! You’re going to love it ❤️xx”
Laura isn’t the only well known face who has taken on the role before Cheryl with Giovanna Fletcher and Lily Allen also having played the part. Lily even got a nomination for Best Actress at the Olivier Awards for the role in 2021.
This will be Cheryl’s first time in a West End show, but she is of course no stranger to the spotlight having toured with Girls Aloud and had a solo career before.
In recent years Cheryl has been out of the public eye a bit more as she is raising her son Bear who she shares with ex-boyfriend, former One Direction star Liam Payne.
What an exciting time for Cheryl! We are glad to see her back on stage, as they say in the theatre, break a leg!
