Ekin-Su And Davide Have Called It Quits

That’s it folks!

Our Love Island series eight winners have called it quits after just eleven months together.

The fan favourite duo were announced as the series eight winners back in August of last year after they secured nearly two thirds of the public vote.

Taking to his Instagram story last night, Thursday June 29th, Davide made a statement regarding their split saying: “@ekinsuofficial & I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best. I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time, I will continue to support Ekin in any way possible.”

Ekin-Su hasn’t spoken out in regard to the break-up just yet – which is completely understandable.

The pair were last seen together three days ago at the Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny premiere in London.

Over the last ten months Ekin-Su and Davide experienced a number of life milestones together including moving in together, featuring in a tv show all about their travels back home to Turkey and Italy respectively, as well as a number of career opportunities due to their stint on the hit reality dating show.

During an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain Davide had some advice to share with future Love Island contestants.

He said: “Don’t go there for fame but because you actually want to find someone. If you are a genuine person and you actually want to find someone for love and the right person is there you will have an amazing experience.”

That’s some pretty solid advice right there!
