Faye Winter Says She Ended Her Relationship With Teddy Soares

Faye Winter has shared some insight into the reasoning behind her split from Teddy Soares, and it turns out, it was her decision.

The former Love Island star hasn’t been quiet about the fact that the split from her boyfriend has been hard for her, keeping fans updated on social media over the past few months.

During an interview with new magazine she explained, “It was definitely my decision to end the relationship.

“I was very open to seeing if there were small changes that could be made, but it didn’t work out that way.”

But moving on with someone else isn’t something that’s on her mind, she continued, “There are still some days where I get really emotional, but it’s been easier to try and move on knowing there is full closure now.

“I’m nowhere near in a position to be thinking about anybody else or even considering dating, but right now I’m still having waves of grief, but not every day, every couple of hours.

“It’s just one of those things, you’ve got to go through it. It’s hard to have somebody who you were so close to become just a stranger.”

Faye recently came back from a girl’s trip with her Love Island 2021 co-stars and shared that she needed the time with her friends.

This comes after Teddy recently made comments that some thought might have been some shade toward his ex. Having not commented on their split too much, he told MailOnline that seeing Faye talk about them in the press and the publicity of their split is “difficult”.

He added, “She is posting the dog which is really hard because we shared it. I have snoop every so often to see the dog, she’s grown so much since I left in January.”

The former Love Island star explained that he is feeling himself again after the split, “I have a voice again. I feel like I’m coming out of my shell again and going to events and going out more. Which is really nice.”

The former couple, who met on the 2021 series of Love Island, confirmed their split in February of this year. Faye took to social media to share the news writing, “I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways.”

She continued adding, “Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us. I’m forever grateful.”

We hope they are both doing well!
