Here’s Everything We Know About Euphoria Season 3
Season 2 of the hit HBO show came to an end in the latter part of 2022, but fear not, Season 3 is coming in hot and there is so much you need to know about the upcoming season of Euphoria.
The show is narrated by Rue (Zendaya) a teen who is a recovering teen drug addict with no plans to stay clean. We also get to dive into the stories of Rue’s peers Maddy, Cassie, Kat, Lexi, Elliot, Nate, and her bff turned girlfriend, Jules, as they navigate the highs and lows of their high school years.
If previous seasons were anything to go by, well, we’re certainly in for some serious teen drama this time around.

It has been confirmed that most of the cast and crew will be returning for season 3 which was announced as a sure thing in February 2022.
Francesca Orsi, executive producer of Euphoria said in a statement back in February: “We couldn’t be more honoured to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3”.
As of January 2023, production had not started on the third instalment of the series according to Storm Reid’s interview with Vanity Fair, there has since been rumours led by Digital Spy that production began in February meaning we will most likely get our first look at season 3 sometime early next year.

So what can we expect from season 3? If it’s anything like the beginning of season 2 we could very likely see this season pick up at the intense ending from the final episode – hopefully this will mean expanded storylines for those characters involved Fez, Nate, and Cal, while we would also like to see characters who haven’t had a main plot line just yet get some major screen time in the upcoming season.
Alternatively we may not even be back in East Highland High if there’s any truth to Euphoria costume designer, Heidi Biven’s discussion with Vogue where she said: “I’m really excited to read the scripts. There is talk of it being approximately five years in the future, and that they’re not in high school anymore.
She continued speculating: “Dorothy’s not in Kansas anymore. I mean, it might be a total trip. Who can say? But knowing Sam’s brain, it’s gonna be exciting, and he will challenge all of us, because he won’t want to repeat himself. It’ll be something new for the audience to discover”.
Zendaya has also hinted at a possible time jump and wanting to explore the characters’ lives post high school graduation in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter back in August.
She said: “I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look, but also with all the characters, in the sense where they’re trying to figure out what to do with their lives when high school is over and what kind of people they want to be”.
She continued on saying: “What was special about this last season was that we got to dive into the other characters in a much deeper sense. I think we can do that again with the third season. There’s so much talent, you want to make sure everybody has the chance to have that”.
Sadly we won’t get to see the reappearance of Kat Hernandez as Barbie Ferreira officially announced in August that she would not be returning to the show. She posted a sweet message to her Instagram stories thanking her fans and saying how sad she was to be leaving the character behind.
She later revealed in an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast that her decision to leave was in fact a mutual one with show creator Sam Levinson, both parties felt there was no more room for the character to grow the way she was meant to.
By the sounds of it, it’s going to be a good one! So while we wait for the third instalment seasons 1 and 2 of Euphoria are available to rewatch on Sky and NowTV.
