Here’s What To Expect From Olivia Rodrigo’s New Album

The wait for new music is finally coming to an end.

And all of us Livies are ready to be fed.

That’s right, Grammy Award winning recording artist Olivia Rodrigo, has announced she will release her brand new album GUTS, the follow up to her debut album SOUR, on September 8th. From today, fans can pre-order Guts on CD, cassette, vinyl and limited edition box sets exclusively at Olivia’s online store. The vinyl is offered in four exclusive colours – red, white, blue and purple.

When talking about the album and what it is about, Olivia says: “For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life. I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20—it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change. I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”

Olivia took to her Instagram to announce the news to fans. She posted a photo of the album artwork which shows Olivia lying on a purple backdrop wearing red lipstick. She’s got her thumb in her mouth and wears lettered rings across her four fingers that read GUTS, the name of her upcoming album.

She captioned the post: “My sophomore album GUTS comes out September 8th. I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait to share it with you all! You can pre-save it now! xoxoxoxo❤️💜💌🖤.”

This comes just weeks following the announcement of Olivia’s brand new single Vampire which will be available everywhere June 30th. As the album’s first single, Vampire showcases Olivia’s increased maturity and bold confidence that she has gained since the release of her seven time platinum award winning album SOUR which she released a little over two years ago to critical acclaim.
