The Truth About Love Island Stars Zara and Olivia’s ‘Friendship’

The truth about Love Island stars Zara Lackenby-Brown and Olivia Hawkins’ friendship outside the villa has been revealed, all thanks to Zara’s brother Alex.

The ongoing clash between the two girls was aired on the show with Zara calling Olivia “two faced” for chatting with semi-professional footballer, Tom Clare, who Zara is currently coupled up with.

Fans began to speculate that Zara (25) and Olivia (27), knew each other from outside the villa, convinced there was no way the Love Island contestants could be so hateful towards each other over a man they’ve known a week.

It was spotted by a few die hard fans that both girls had commented on each others Instagram’s long before they took to our screens as Love Island contestants, but that’s not all, an old music video the duo starred in together was unearthed too!

This came after David Salako, the first contestant dumped from the villa took to TikTok after arriving back home, answering some questions in the comments with one fan asking: “Did Olivia and Zara talk about that they knew each other outside the villa?”

David replied saying: “Yeah this was something discussed in the villa so…. they told everyone – I think Zara told everyone she knew Liv, and Liv confirmed”.

While neither girl has addressed the speculation themselves, Zara’s brother Alex attended the show’s spin-off Aftersun, with host Maya Jama, where he answered the most asked question from fans: Did Olivia and Zara know each other prior to entering the villa?

Alex confirmed that while the girls had met previously, they were not friends before entering the villa. He spoke to Maya about the rumours and said: “So they have been on set together for a music video, but as people do on social media they exchange messages, big each other up, that kind of thing”.

He continued saying: “but no, they didn’t actually know each other beforehand. Everything that has unfolded has been on TV”.

Guess that answers that!
