Great news of Bridgerton fans, the trailer for its spin-off series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is here!

The show will follow Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, and how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) reprise their roles from Bridgerton in this series while India Amarteifio plays Young Queen Charlotte. Young King George is played by Corey Mylchreest.

The trailer has us very excited for the series as it is definitely giving Bridgerton vibes, not straying far from the aesthetic and the music of the original show, it is the back story we didn’t know we needed and fills the gap while we wait for the next season of the show.

The trailer lets us know that it is *just* as steamy as Bridgerton is and the love story looked immaculate, although we are very curious what turns and secrecy await.

The series will premiere on the 4th of May on Netflix, and that day can’t come quick enough.
