Zayn Malik And Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley Set to Star In Brand New Movie

They’re taking on a voice over role!

It seems Zayn Malik and Simone Ashley, who took on the role of Kate Sharma in period drama Bridgerton, will be starring in a brand new movie together – at least their voices will!

The pair are set to join the cast of 10 Lives, an animated movie following Beckett, a pampered kitty who takes his lifestyle and his nine lives for granted.

They will be joined by a star studded cast including legendary comedian Mo Gilligan, Death On The Nile actress Sophie Okonedo and Love Actually’s, Bill Nighy.

According to Deadline Jeremy Swift of Ted Lasso fame will also be joining the star studded line-up.

After Beckett, the pampered cat has an accident causing him to lose his ninth life, he begs for a second chance so he can show he has learnt from his mistakes. He is eventually given another chance but with a few catches along the way.

The production company behind the new animated movie, Taost has acquired Chinese distribution rights as part of their plans to expand it into the Asian film market.

This is Zayn’s first on-screen project following his departure from One Direction nearly ten years ago. He has had three very successful solo albums in the time since he left the band in 2015.

While this is Zayn’s first on-screen appearance, the singer is well aware of what goes on behind the scenes as he created songs for both the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack and the Aladdin soundtrack which debuted in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
