Here’s All The Bits Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

It's been a busy week.

It’s been a busy, dull, dreary week, lads.

The weather has been horrendous, we’ve all been miserable, and oftentimes it felt like Friday would never come.

But hey, listen, we made it to end. We survived. We’re okay. And even though the last five days may have been questionable enough, we still managed to find a whole host of things worth shouting about.

This it them.

Jade is loving… Slushies

Give me that sweet sugar rush.

Applegreen is celebrating its birthday next week, on July 24, to be exact. And so, to celebrate, they’re offering a whole host of tasty treats and services for just 24c and €2.47 on that day.

We’re talking chocolate, crisps, and even car washes. Ideal.

They popped over to the STELLAR office this week to give the team a sneak preview of what to expect and let me tell you, the slushies did not disappoint.

Rebecca is loving… A gorgeous tan

Who doesn’t love having gorgeous, glow-y skin? We certainly do. Unfortunately, this year’s Irish summer just isn’t the way it should be, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still be sporting gorgeous, bronzed skin.

Our pals at Dripping Gold this week launched their newest product, Dripping Gold Serum, and it’s safe to say we’re obsessed.

The beautiful new skincare led self tan has body-care at its core, and including ingredients like goji berry, rose hip seed oil, and chamomile flower extract, it’s safe to say it’ll leave your skin looking (and feeling) incredible. Find out more here.

Aoife is loving… Half lashes

I’m not a huge fake lashes fan, because I find they overpower my eyes too much – I always end up looking a little more spooky than sexy.

When it comes to these BPerfect half lashes though? I may have found my new obsession. They sit just on the outer half of your eye, so you get the glamour and drama without it being too heavy or unnatural. Zen is my favourite of the three they’ve released; it’s flared and fanned out with a clear band so it’s super subtle. I think I’ve just become a lashes girl – and I’ve never felt so flirty!

Lorna is loving… Music videos

We all love a good song but I think to really understand the meaning behind one you need to watch the music video. Harry Styles released a music video for his song Daylight this week.

When I say I’m obsessed, I mean OBSESSED! It gives such an insight into him as an artist and just celebrates him as a person as well which I’m totally here for. It’s weird and wonderful and gives an almost psychedelic feel.

Jade is loving… A summer soirée

@stellarmagazine The summer of love is almost over, but we’re still celebrating with Boots Ireland 🏝 #LoveIsland content on Stellar brought to you by Boots Ireland #sp #fyp ♬ Cruel Summer – Taylor Swift

… Even if the weather isn’t playing ball.

It’s been raining for most of this week, but hey, we can’t only be making hay while the sun shines.

This week, Team STELLAR popped into the Boots x Love Island summer soirée to celebrate all things that have been happening in the villa, and take a look at some of the lovely products the islanders have been enjoying this summer.

We also had some tasty cocktails while we sheltered from the rain. Necessary.

Rebecca is loving… Gorgeous Dublin views

This week, Dublin’s the Westin Hotel unveiled their new College Suite hotel room – and it’s safe to say, it’s something else

The impressive dual-level room (yes, dual level), features high ceilings, beautiful natural light, and the best part of all – a wraparound private balcony with a stunning view of Dublin city centre.

Imagine staying here. Dreams.

Aoife is loving… A book with breakfast

I have a terrible habit of rolling over and immediately scrolling on my phone, which doesn’t feel like the right way to start the day. This week I’m trying to set up my morning with a few pages of a book instead – and I already feel like a new woman!

Instead of reaching for my phone, I’m forcing my bleary-eyed self downstairs to enjoy a chapter while I eat my breakfast. It puts me in a more mindful state of being and gives me a little dopamine spike that feels more wholesome than when it comes from a TikTok.

Whether I’ll be able to keep it up… that’s a question for another day!

Lorna is loving… Surviving The Swiftie Great War

I’m pretty sure half of Ireland made their way to Ticketmaster yesterday to try and secure a ticket to see Taylor Swift in the Aviva next June – there were 86,000 people in front of us at one point! My friend and I knew weeks ago it was going to be pretty impossible to get tickets in Dublin so we did a bit of a Mastermind move and tried for tickets in Lisbon with a presale code I had been granted.

Thankfully we secured tickets (not VIP, I love Taylor but I’m not spending €700+ for a standing ticket, a jumper and a poster!) for the Lisbon show fairly easily and while we hoped for tickets to our hometown show in Dublin, it wasn’t the end of the world if we didn’t get them.

Spoiler, we didn’t get them! But winning one round of the Great War is enough for me!
