Charlotte Tilbury’s New Foundation Has A 17,000-Strong Waiting List – Here’s Why
The Airbrush Flawless Foundation has everyone talking.
You all know, whether it’s from listening to The Glow Up or reading the mag, that STELLAR loves Charlotte Tilbury. In fact, we’d hazard a guess that Ms Tilbs has created one of our favourite beauty brands ever.
So we naturally got a bit excited when she announced a new base product, the Airbrush Flawless Foundation – and many others did too, as there are a reported 17,000 people on the waiting list for it. What is it about it that’s got everyone whipped up into such a frenzy?
Well, Charlotte describes the €40 foundation as a “hybrid magic skincare foundation” with anti-ageing and moisturising properties and a longwearing, full coverage, natural matte finish.
There are an impressive 44 shades designed to flatter the undertones of the skin (so either neutral, warm, or cool), and the formula claims to be lightweight yet sweat proof, humidity proof and transfer resistant. That ticks so many of our boxes, but the real proof is in the wearing.
You’ll be happy to discover that STELLAR Editor Vicki loved it from the get go – it’s glowy, but not too glowy on her oily skin type (think ‘lit from within’, AKA the dream) and survived a day of walking around under the sun.
Beauty influencers are also raving about the product. Our fave Simone Scribes has probably convinced half of Ireland to give it a try with her glowing review:
I can’t see it in my pores. It hasn’t even slightly pooled around my nose. It doesn’t feel dry. My skin just looks… well, amazing. It seems to be one of those foundations that looks better and better the longer it’s on your skin.
One thing we will say is that you wouldn’t want to just eyeball your shade from photos online – Charlotte herself says you need to leave a swatch for five minutes to see the true colour on your skin, so do yourself a favour and get matched at the counter.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation is €40 and available online now from her website, then in store at Brown Thomas and Arnotts from Thursday August 29. We have a feeling this could be The One.
