Christina Aguilera Went Makeup-Free For A Magazine Cover, And It’s Absolutely Stunning

Christina Aguilera is not a woman known for going easy on the makeup. (But hey, neither are we.)

So that’s why it’s so surprising to see her on the cover of Paper magazine – the publication previously responsible for Kim Kardashian’s ‘breaking the internet’ – completely makeup-free.

How gorgeous is that cover? In the accompanying interview, Christina explains what inspired her new look:

I’ve always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a storyline and play a character in a video or through stage. I’m a performer, that’s who I am by nature. But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.

With her cute freckles, visible pores and striking blue eyes, she’s certainly got that. But she’s not completely giving up the glitter: “I mean, I’m a girl that likes a beat face. Let’s not get it twisted.”
