The average woman takes 12 minutes to get #selfie ready, according to Dove, and with one estimation putting our current snap rate at 1 trillion per year, and 300 million of those ending up as pictures of our own faces, that’s a lot of getting trigger happy. Industry group MPD says that this is all pushing up sales of premium beauty, with foundations, primers and highlighters coming in as the biggest winners, Thanks, Kim K. It also reports that because of the popularity of strobing, sales of highlighters ramped up by 48.5 percent in the UK in 2015.

Ultra HD Foundation, blush powder and primers are formulated with finely milled ingredients and light-diffusing technolgy for a second skin result.
Likewise, Estee Lauder’s New Dimensons franchise is all about instant results. Expert Liquid Tape uses plastic-alike polymers to ‘tape’ sagging skin into place – so you get a better shot. Elsewhere, brands are deep in R+D and filing patents for new, skin-smoothing and pore-blurring ingredients like Croda Labs’ Prolevis, which claims it can instantly smooth skin.
