You're welcome

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard that Vinted has officially hit the Irish app store.
The preloved marketplace has been hugely popular in the UK since 2008. So, here is why you need to start selling (and buying) on Vinted.
Since the year 2000 the amount of new clothes people purchase has increased by 60%, and a lot of these items are only being worn for half the amount of time.
The fast fashion industry is growing and with living standards rising around the world and wages increasing, more people are able to buy clothes. This is detrimental to our environment. Not only are tons of clothes being dumped in landfill every day but the production of the garments is not eco-friendly.
Purchasing second-hand clothing from Vinted not only avoids the contribution of making more clothes but it also prevents them from ending up in landfills – for another while at least.

Selling clothes on sites like Vinted also gives people another way of making extra money. Depending on how much effort you are willing to put in, you could absolutely turn it into a side hustle.
Unlike other similar apps, Vinted doesn’t take a fee from the sellerโs money, rather the buyer pays a fee. Which is a great thing for the seller.
On the flip side, buying your clothes from Vinted also saves you money as most things are super affordable.
Getting rid of unwanted items also helps keep your house clutter free which can really make such a difference in our everyday lives.
So, how do you get started?
Download the Vinted app and set up an account. Ask any friends or family that have Vinted to follow you.
You could also add the link to your Vinted to other social media accounts that you have.
What to sell
Have a big wardrobe declutter, anything you don’t want keep it for Vinted. Items should be in decent condition and if not make sure you state otherwise.
Vinted also sells makeup, accessories and other items you may have lying around your house.
Posting
Take high-quality photos of the clothes in daylight. This is crucial as people are much more likely to buy from high quality photos.
The more pictures and detail you give, the more likely someone is to buy it. List the pieces accordingly and upload them to your profile.
Make sure to go into as much detail as possible and use relevant hashtags. Be prepared to ship items with envelopes, packages and stamps.
Make that money
As mentioned, Vinted doesn’t take a fee for selling, so once your buyer receives their product and confirms it’s okay, you’ll be paid.
Happy Vinting!
