Olivia Palermo’s Fave Cleanser Is A €2.69 Classic Product You Definitely Already Own
She's all about the basics.
Olivia Palermo has that dreamy, dewy glowing skin that just screams ‘I never drink, I always get eight hours sleep and I have a crazy-good beauty routine.’
While the no alcohol, full eight hours rule is something you might not always *quite* manage to adhere to, you can copy Olivia’s beauty routine without too much hassle – and more importantly, without draining your bank account dry.
In a recent interview with Allure, Olivia revealed that she uses a pretty basic product for make-up removal: Vaseline Petroleum Jelly.
Yup, that Vaseline. The one your mam probably used on you when changing your nappies. The one you definitely have a tin or two of languishing in your handbag right now for chapped-lip emergencies. The one that costs a measly €2.69 (or €3.99 if you’re feeling splashy and want a tub of the stuff).
“I don’t use a fancy product,” Olivia said of her night-time beauty routine. “I just wipe my face with Vaseline and a cotton pad every night before bed.”

While her choice of product might be low-maintenance, Olivia makes one thing very clear: sleeping in your make-up is a total no-go if you want good skin.
“There’s no excuse for not taking off your makeup. Ever,” she emphasised.
Of course, nightly make-up removal isn’t the only rule Olivia has for keeping her skin in check:. She has “standing appointments” with a range of beauty therapists and skincare gurus too, among them a facialist and a dermatologist who she’s been seeing since her teens.
And skincare aside, Olivia follows the inside-out rule, keeping her body in top shape to make sure she’s always glowing. “I think working out is the key to good skin,” she says. “I like to sweat it out five days a week with trainer Tracy Anderson.”
As with most things in life, there’s no quick fix for great skin it seems, but that won’t stop us introducing some Vaseline into our routine in the hopes of waking up looking like Ms. Palermo…
