One Fashion Trend That’s Going To Be BIG For Irish Festivals This Year

Festival season is back, baby. And a long awaited return it has been. Little did we know in 2019 that we’d be kissing goodbye to festivals until 2022, but thankfully, the wait is now almost over.
With some really incredible Irish festivals kickstarting later this month, we see the likes of Life Festival and Forbidden Fruit just weeks away, other popular festivals like Body & Soul, Sea Sessions, Indiependence, All Together Now and Electric Picnic are also returning this year, bringing us a summer of fun and music.
But while the music is a major part, for many of us, the fashion is also crucial. Festivals are a great time for pushing boundaries, getting experimental with your wardrobe and donning something you wouldn’t usually dare to wear.

Forecasting some trends we think will be big at festivals this year, it didn’t take much research to point out one major trend we’re going to see everywhere, because it’s already pretty major!
Nylon trousers are big for summer 2022. Giving us serious Y2K vibes, the trousers, which often have a toggle waistband and dare I say it… low-rise fit, are on all the fash pack this season proving their popularity.

Wear them with a crop top, a tank, a bikini or even, paired with cute jacket. They’re pretty easy to style, plus loosely fitted – comfort!
Nylon material really came back with a bang when Prada re-released the re edition 2000 Nylon handbag. Since then we’ve started seeing it return in all its capacities from bucket hats to trousers and jackets.
